Natural Seating Project
Design Intent: Create a modern natural stool that is visually delicate but physically sturdy. Limit materials to lower production cost.
Rough cut parts with a bandsaw.
Finally standing.
Steel bars and wire were used to help prevent the seat frame from warping.
Weaving the seat.
Hand carved handle.
Completed woven seatpan.
Chair is lightweight and portable. Made from mahogany and walnut.
